It's looking like it will be trade that will remain a long way from being addressed as we would really like at the G8 in Gleneagles.
Debt relief and more and better aid will be agreed to to some extent (some of it it already has been agreed). But trade will remain the sticking point. Which makes me sad, but also steeled to Greenbelt's continued membership of the Trade Justice Movement.
Long after this year's hype, and the celebrity-swamped Make Poverty History campaign, trade will still need making fair, not free. It will be a long walk.
Still, all eyes on Gleneagles for the next three days. We can but hope.
